FAIR TRADE FEDERATION CONFERENCE

Michelle and I drove up to the very cool city of Milwaukee in May to attend the Fair Trade Federation’s annual conference.  Michelle is an old hat with FTF conferences, but it was my first.  I really enjoyed meeting other folks involved in the fair trade movement, people who dedicate everyday of their lives to providing a way out of poverty to hundreds of farmers, artisans, and skilled workers all over the world.

And what fair trade conference would be complete without a fair trade market?  The conference was held at the stunning Milwaukee Hyatt, which has a gorgeous atrium and a rotating rooftop restaurant offering 360 degree views of the city.  The market was held in that rooftop space, the coolest place to have a market ever.  The vendors set up along the windows and shoppers walked in circles viewing the merchandise.  Check out the view from our booth.
