IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A CHILD’S INDIA

Chicago, we are in the midst of our 28th annual Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.  You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy the amazing works this fest brings to the big screen year after year.  Of course, kids love them, too…so if you happen to have ’em, bring ’em along!

It’s not that we have an Indian bias or anything (yeah, we do), but we don’t want you to miss our special recommendation playing this Saturday:  I am Kalam.  It’s the story of a young boy named Chhotu who must work at his Uncle Bhati’s roadside restaurant to help repay his mother’s debts, but who wants to choose his own destiny.  Beautifully shot and incredibly touching, a movie like this really transports you into another world.  That’s this Saturday, October 29th at 1pm at Facets Multi-Media (1517 W. Fullerton Avenue).

Here’s where it gets even better.  All Mata Traders fans will get two-for-one tickets at this screening (regular ticket price is $6 for children ages 2-16, and $9 for adults).  Just tell ’em your with us!
