Why 3x3 works
Most "travel capsule" advice defaults to neutrals because neutrals are foolproof — but foolproof doesn't have to mean flat. Our edit builds the whole system around a cerulean blue and warm pink palette, so everything already coordinates before you even start mixing pieces. You get the ease of a capsule wardrobe with the personality of clothes you'd actually pick off the racks.
And because everything is done in linen, cotton, and jersey knits, the fabric works as hard as the color story does — breathable in a hot car or a warm airport, and forgiving after being folded into a packing cube for a week.

Coordinated doesn't mean colorless
Here's the part worth saying out loud: you don't need to pack in black and white to stay coordinated. A tight, intentional color story — like the cerulean blues and warm pinks in this edit — coordinates just as easily and photographs a lot better. Pattern mixing gets easy, too, once every piece is already speaking the same color language: stripe with print, print with solid, solid with stripe.
How to build your 27+ outfits
Think of it as a simple rotation:
