We're Feeling Grateful!

A few years ago, I created a Facebook group where we post what we're grateful for. Participating in this group has helped me actively seek out things to be thankful for each day. Since I enjoy creating little spheres of gratitude around me, I wanted to do the same here at Mata HQ and with our fans. I asked the Mata staff, "What are you grateful for?"

Kayla, Retail Associate

I'm thankful for early morning dog walks. Kimchi is a morning dog and tends to wake up between 5 and 6 a.m., which was an adjustment when we first adopted him, but now I look forward to it. We walk to Winnemac park every morning which is such a reprieve from the rest of the city sometimes. It's great way to start the day because it's so quiet and peaceful and Kimchi is so happy and full of energy. Plus, we get to see the sunrise every morning.

Carly, Marketing Coordinator

As a new member of the Mata family, I'm so thankful to Mata for offering me my dream job. Also, I'm a new aunt, so I'm very thankful for my brother and his wife for giving me that little nugget.

Avani, Production Manager

I wish there was just one thing I could list I was thankful for! I am thankful for moving back to Chicago and enjoying every season here!

Maya, Wholesale Administration & Retail Specialist

I'm thankful for meeting amazing people that are my American family. I'm also thankful for all the opportunities that I've been given to grow in my career this year, which proves how capable I am to reach my goals and more!

April, Sales Manager

These days I'm grateful for long walks in my tree-lined neighborhood with my stout rescue dog, Vince! They give me time to be present with myself and the beauty around me.

Katie, Graphic Designer

This year I'm most thankful for a supportive community (whether that's family, coworkers, friends, pets, etc) and a roof over my head. I feel like the past year has made me hyper aware of the situations of others so I'm really just grateful for anything I have right now.
