BLOGGER STYLE: MAXI TO THE MAX

Meet Leah! She took a fashionable stroll in our Isle of Skye maxi in navy & pink, styling the dress three different ways! Leah’s also wearing our Quill earrings, which are super fun to wear with a casual outfit or even for a night out.

In Leah’s words, “I was quite happy to see a maxi dress option because it’s a silhouette I don’t often wear and I think it’s the perfect thing for transitional spring weather.” On the flip side, I’d like to point out, it’s going to work into fall (and chilly summer nights!). She goes on, “I like the modern, minimalist high neckline and straight fit, as well as the fact that it actually goes past my ankles (most maxis seem to be made for shorter individuals).”

Let’s take a look at her fab maxi style.

A Day at the Park: Paired with a simple scarf and MIA sandals.

Coffee Date: Paired with J. Crew chambray and old motorcycle boots.

Outdoor Wedding: Cinched shorter with fun thrifted heels by Sbicca.

Leah has a tip for us to get the shorter look with the maxi dress: “Take a long piece of ribbon and tie it at mid thigh around the fully extended dress. Pull up the dress from the place the ribbon lays until it begins to form a bubble hem. Adjust and pull the ribbon to the top of your thigh for ease of movement. For a more secure version, try small safety pins.” I love this idea – I’m going to try it with all my maxis! What a great way to get more life out of your closet.
