This is a summer midi dress you didn't know you were missing in red and white classic gingham, crafted from a small batch yarn-dyed gingham in 100% cotton. It's the kind of cheerful, throw-it-on piece that makes every day feel a little more like a picnic. This sunny-weather silhouette features a fitted bodice and a full skirt that's as flattering as it is fun to wear, and yep, it has pockets. Pair it with woven sandals and a straw bag for an effortless look, or layer with a denim jacket when the evening cools down.

CARE

We officially recommend hand washing our woven cottons to keep the clothes in their best shape, since so many things are handprinted, indigo dyed, hand embroidered, etc.

Some customers may wish to machine wash their dresses – while we still officially recommend hand washing, we know anecdotally that washing with cold water on the delicate cycle with the gentlest of detergents seems to have good results. As does line or flat drying, followed by ironing or steaming (definitely no dryer!)

However, the more handmade details, the more we recommend handwashing.

Our organic jersey knits can be machine washed in cold water on a delicate cycle with gentle detergent.
