    • Let's Talk Cashmere

    • It's Warm - Cashmere has a high warmth-to-weight ration and loftier structure. Its superior insulation means you can keep warm wearing a thinner sweater than is typically needed.

    • It's Soft - Cashmere fibers are astonishingly fine, sourced from the soft, cozy, and dense undercoat of pastoral goats that live at elevation.

    • It's Layerable - As a thinner cold weather layer, cashmere drapes better than thicker sweaters, doesn't add bulk to an outfit, and breathes so you won't overheat.

    • It's Sensitive-Skin-Friendly - After a few minutes of wearing and warming up, cashmere's delicate, ultrafine fibers smooth down, allowing those with sensitive skin to enjoy style without sacrificing comfort.

    • It's Easy to Care For - Ignore the myth that cashmere care is a challenge. A quick spot clean, airing out, or occasional gentle wash with wool soap does the trick. Just never put it in the dryer!

    CARE

    We officially recommend hand washing our woven cottons to keep the clothes in their best shape, since so many things are handprinted, indigo dyed, hand embroidered, etc.

    Some customers may wish to machine wash their dresses – while we still officially recommend hand washing, we know anecdotally that washing with cold water on the delicate cycle with the gentlest of detergents seems to have good results. As does line or flat drying, followed by ironing or steaming (definitely no dryer!)

    However, the more handmade details, the more we recommend handwashing.

    Our organic jersey knits can be machine washed in cold water on a delicate cycle with gentle detergent.
