We officially recommend hand washing our woven cottons to keep the clothes in their best shape, since so many things are handprinted, indigo dyed, hand embroidered, etc.

Some customers may wish to machine wash their dresses – while we still officially recommend hand washing, we know anecdotally that washing with cold water on the delicate cycle with the gentlest of detergents seems to have good results. As does line or flat drying, followed by ironing or steaming (definitely no dryer!)

However, the more handmade details, the more we recommend handwashing.

Our organic jersey knits can be machine washed in cold water on a delicate cycle with gentle detergent.

Not the right fit for me

I purchased the Miller Easy Pant in the blue ikat in a size medium. I wear either a 6 or 8 in pants and have a 30 inch waist. The fabric is lovely and light and felt nice, but the cut of the pants was not flattering for my body shape. There was a lot of extra fabric at the front around the pockets and crotch that ballooned out and looked very unattractive. It's hard to tell in the product photos because in the only pictures of the front of the pants, the model has her hands in her pockets. Perhaps a smaller size would have fit better but I elected to return the pants.
